For over three decades, Country Gardens has been a trusted name in landscaping across the Georgia metropolitan area. Founded by local entrepreneur Frank Zorda. The company became known not only for its quality services but also for its deep-rooted connection to the community. However, as Mr. Zorda reached retirement age, a new chapter was needed to carry the legacy forward.
Enter Cody and Xander—two lifelong friends from Kennesaw, Georgia. With a love for the outdoors, a passion for quality work, and a shared ambition to make something of ourselves, the opportunity to take over Country Gardens came at the perfect time. After years of working in various industries (Cody grew up at a family nursery while being a manager of a local restaurants near me over 4 years and Xander managing a landscape/hardscape company for the past five years), Frank Zorda saw potential in us and offered the chance to continue the legacy he built from the ground up. For Cody and me, it was a dream come true—but also a monumental challenge. Despite our passion for the outdoors and years of experience in the field, neither of us had ever run a business on this scale. We had no choice but to learn quickly.
One of our first hurdles was adapting the company to the modern landscape business while staying true to the values that had made Country Gardens successful for so long. Cody and I dove into the nitty-gritty of the business, learning how to market the company in an increasingly digital world. We knew that Country Gardens’ reputation for quality service and strong customer relationships was its greatest strength, but we needed to update its branding to appeal to a new generation of clients as well. One of our first initiatives was revamping the company’s website and social media presence, giving them a fresh look that showcases our work and offers easy access to quotes and expertise.
While we were eager to innovate, we also wanted to honor the company’s legacy. The challenge lay in finding the balance between tradition and modernization. We continue to build relationships with long-time customers—listening to their needs and wants—while also courting the latest trends in outdoor services.
Cody and I are committed to the vision we set out to achieve. We plan to expand our field of expertise, complete larger projects, and build a team of dedicated employees who share the same vision for the future. As we look ahead, we are excited about the possibilities. We remain focused on continuous growth, embracing innovation, and staying true to the community-centered values that have made Country Gardens a staple in Georgia’s landscaping industry.
We thank you very much for all that we have been able to do, thanks to the amazing people in this community. Whether you are a customer who gets your grass cut by our team or someone for whom we have built a dream backyard for, we appreciate you and your business, for it is what keeps us going! We look forward to continuing to be your local and trusted company for outdoor services.
